Fully Guided Hiking Tours
Hiking tours with a difference
Welcome to Home Comforts Hiking, hiking with a shower, a meal and a bed at the end of each day! Hikes organised by Home Comforts Hiking are rated Easy to Hard, and suitable for casual hikers and anyone with a basic level of fitness. We also have a program of ‘All Ability’ hikes.
As accommodation and meals are arranged at the end of each day, there is no need to carry tents, bedding or a lot of food. Luggage storage and/or luggage transfer is also arranged for all of our hikes, so you only need to carry a day pack while hiking. All Australian hikes also have a support vehicle and driver.
Mobility impaired information
Most of our hiking tours are not suitable for mobility impaired customers. The hiking trails may be steep, uneven, sandy, rocky or slippery. Customised tours are available for ‘All Ability’ hikers that can walk without aids. (See our ‘All Ability’ Hikes page. These hikes are generally on flatter terrain with better quality trails and paths. Access for mobility impaired customers is;
- Our home has wheelchair access and handrails on stairs
- Our bus has grab rails to assist with getting in and out. A freestanding step can be provided upon request
- Requests for mobility impaired accommodation (no steps, for example) can be met upon request
- We have a 12 seater support vehicle on all Australian hikes. Customers that cannot , or do not want to hike on a particular day can be transferred to the next accommodation in the support vehicle.
